FASD Action Research Housing Pilot

Project Summary

The FASD Action Research Housing Pilot Project seeks to provide opportunities for you to collaborate with CanFASD to discover and try new ways to improve services for individuals with FASD. The Pilot Project will involve developing specific training tools based on your needs and perspectives, as well as other resources such as the Harmonizing Framework for Housing Individuals with FASD.

The goal of this project is in the name: putting research into action. By engaging in this Pilot Project, service providers will be able to collaborate with CanFASD in developing and implementing the solutions we create together. This process is purposefully collaborative and iterative so that the project benefits from the deep understanding that you have regarding the unique needs of the individuals you serve.

CanFASD will not be dictating specific tasks for project partners. Rather, if you agree to engage in this project, you’ll help us design a structure that best suits you. This means that you’ll have a direct say in what type of work you’re doing and when you are doing it, along with support from CanFASD. This support may include access to resources such as grants, training materials, and relationship-building opportunities to help you improve your practice and implement targeted trainings, support systems and housing options.
